HIM is situated on the Campus of the Johannes Gutenberg- University in Mainz.

It can be readily reached by road, rail, and air.

Public transport:

From Mainz main station (Mainz Hbf) take tram lines 51 or 53 direction "Lerchenberg" and leave at the third station "Friedrich von Pfeiffer Weg". Then please walk straight along the university kindergarden towards HIM.
Please buy a short-hop-ticket (Kurzstreckenticket)

By car:

You can freely drive directly into the University for one day a week.  If you want to have access to the campus for up to one week, you are reqired to get a park-ticket by the university administration.

On our map (see above) you can find parking spaces, at HIM only few are available.

By plane:

There are two airports located in the vicinity of Mainz:
Frankfurt Airport (in the Rhine-Main region) & Frankfurt Hahn Airport (in the Hunsrück region).
Please take trains to Mainz main station (Mainz Hbf) as explained above.
